Holding black placards against the government as well as its key ally, Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), media organisations' representatives, including Mushtaq Minhas and Afzal Butt, spoke on the occasion denouncing the measures aimed at gagging the media.

Attack on media in Karachi condemned

ISLAMABAD, May 14: The Citizens’ Media Commission of Pakistan (CMCP) has expressed shock over the tragic loss of life, injuries and destruction of property in Karachi over the weekend. The CMCP’s Islamabad chapter, in a statement, said the happenings of the day would always be remembered as a black mark on the face of Pakistan.
