MQM looks towards UK govt for help on Imran Khan issue (Daily Times) Staff Report
Hyderabad: The representatives of elected local bodies, affiliated with the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), have launched a new campaign against the Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaaf (PTI) chief, Imran Khan, by writing letters to the British prime minister, asking him to stop Khan’s drive against the MQM chief, Altaf Hussain.
Earlier, Khan had announced that he would take legal action in London against Hussain following the May 12 violence in Karachi, however before Khan could take any action, workers of the MQM chalked statements against Khan all over Karachi and Hyderabad. Furthermore, the MQM workers also staged various demonstrations against the PTI.
