Altaf likely to be summoned by Scotland Yard | UK may send investigators to Pakistan Jawad R Awan/ Kamran Goraya LAHORE, June 18: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Chief Altaf Hussain may take asylum in South Africa if found guilty of terrorism charges leveled against him by Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan. PTI sources privy to the matter told this scribe that Imran Khan had filed a multi-page application with Scotland Yard containing serious charges against MQM chief Altaf Hussain. It has also been learnt that Scotland Yard will launch an inquiry in the next few days and it may also summon Altaf Hussain. The application contains four important charges that include: 1. May 12 killings in Karachi by MQM workers 2. Provoking people for terrorism 3. Money laundering 4. Running of torture cells in Karachi Scotland Yard may seek the assistance of Pakistani law enforcement agencies during its process of investigation into the cases against MQM chief Altaf Hussain, says chief of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).
